Las Vegas Paving is back in the news again, once more for the efficient concept behind the I-15 Design/Build Contract awarded back in July of this year.

The Las Vegas Review Journal praises the speed behind North Corridor Constructors, the joint venture betwen Las Vegas Paving and CH2M Hill. The Design-Build concept will shave years of the completion time of project of this size. As quoted in the article, "There is already a lot of work that is under way... None of [which] would be going on yet if I-15 was a design-bid-build project."

The press conference for the announcement of the Design Build Team selected to deliver improvements to the I-15 North Corridor was announced today at a press conference.  Las Vegas Paving, in cooperation with CH2MHILL was selected to form the design build team known as the North Corridor Constructors.   

The team was officially awarded the contract to design and implement these improvements to the I-15 from the Spaghetti Bowl (US-95 & I-15 interchange) to Craig Road. This contract is slated to start in approximately nine months and is projected at around $242 million. The article from Las Vegas Review Journal can be found here - "Contract Awarded for I-15 Widening."

Here is some of the progress being made on the US95 Job.  At 1AM, the old bridge was demolitioned.  The new adjacent bridge is scheduled to be completed soon!

Once again, the Nevada Contractors Association has awarded Las Vegas Paving with the prestigious Project of the Year award in 2006 for Best Civil/Highway Project.  This award was presented to Las Vegas Paving for the work done on the Blue Diamond Rd/Interstate-15 overpass project linking Windmill to Blue Diamond.  More information on this project can be found in our Project Portfolio.
