Robert L. Mendenhall Ph. D. – Chief Executive Officer and Owner
Mr. Mendenhall started Las Vegas Paving Corp in 1958, with very little capital and a large amount of desire. In 1960, Las Vegas Paving purchased its first hot plant and has grown to seven hot plants, 15 crushers and a multifaceted general engineering construction company.
It has been said that Mr. Mendenhall started the worldwide acceptance of Asphalt Recycling since 1972. To date, a total of 47 different United States Patents have been issued in his name. Patent # 3845941 was received in 1974 for the production of recycled asphalt.
Mr. Mendenhall was inducted into the Nevada Inventors Hall of Fame in 1984 and continues to pursue patents of processes that improve the construction industry. Currently, Mr. Mendenhall still oversees all aspects of the company’s operation.

Jay Smith – President
In 1970, Mr. Smith joined the company as an estimator. Throughout the years, Mr. Smith’s dedication and boundless knowledge of the construction industry has contributed to the tremendous growth of Las Vegas Paving. Mr. Smith actively manages the Engineering department and all project bidding. In November 2005, Las Vegas Paving Corp. was awarded a ninety five million dollar project by Nevada Department of Transportation. At the time of award, this project was the largest NDOT contract awarded in Nevada’s history.
Terry Mendenhall - Vice Pre
Terry has 37 years of experience in the construction industry. He joined his father, Robert L Mendenhall, in 1969 as the leader in the management of Las Vegas Paving's asphalt plants.
As the Vice President, Terry oversees the management staff in all departments. With his endless 'hands-on' experience and knowledge of asphalt plants, Terry supervises all aspects of Las Vegas Paving's seven production plants.
